Boosting Team Spirit for a Big 10 College
University of Maryland’s NCAA Football team is in the Big Ten Conference with four major home games against their conference rivals. To boost team spirit and fundraising efforts for these major gamedays, their Terrapin Club came to Strategic Factory for a solution.
The Project
As a proud partner of the University of Maryland, we were thrilled to help their Terrapin Club create the ‘Tailgate Beat Box’ filled with gameday promotional items to get fans in the spirit and boost fundraising efforts. The ‘Tailgate Beat Box’ is for sale now with a portion of the sales going towards student-athlete fundraising by the Terrapin Club. Fans who purchase a Tailgate Beat Box will also be entered to win a pair of Maryland-inspired Beats headphones with every purchase.
The box includes promotional items branded for the University of Maryland Terrapins:

The Process
The Strategic Factory team worked with University of Maryland’s Director of Development Marketing & Communications, Katy Ford, on selecting appropriate promotional items for the Tailgate Beat Box. It can be overwhelming without a team like ours on your side because when looking for a cup to brand, there are a billion choices. That’s not an exaggeration either! We use a ‘Good. Better. Best’ method to break down the available options into three levels of quality & price for each promotional item. This makes it super easy for our partners to land on something that fits their needs and budget without spending precious time flipping through billions of choices.
We then used our state of the art ACCURIOJET KM-2 known for printing vibrant colors, enhanced resolution, and use of variable data technology to create ‘Thank You’ cards and full-color imprint branded boxes for everything to go inside. Boxes were kitted with all items nicely surrounded by specially selected tissue paper, stored in the Strategic Factory warehouse facilities, and white-label drop-shipped on behalf of the Terrapin Club.
