Printing Impressions released its latest ranking of the largest printing companies based in the U.S. and Canada, and you can find Strategic Factory at #193. The 2020 list marks the 37th annual ranking for Printing Impressions, which develops their list based on annual sales. Unable to escape the effects of the pandemic, this marks the first year the ranking only included 350 printing companies.
The New Listing
For several years, Printing Impressions ranked 500 printing companies. However, they became best known for their Printing Impressions 400 list, as they went on to publish that ranking far more than any other. Reflective of the trends in the printing industry last year, 2020 called for a change due to COVID-19. Thus, the Printing Impressions 350 was realized.
It was difficult for printing companies to maintain sales levels during the rollercoaster year 2020 was for many companies across industries. Even further, it became difficult to gather the necessary information to compile the list, as lockdowns were in full effect. However, despite the impact COVID-19 had on how printing companies could operate, the current ranking shows that many in the industry were able to persevere, including Strategic Factory.
Industry of Resiliency
The shortening of the ranking shows the impact the pandemic had not only on the printing industry itself, but also on the economy as a whole. However, what it doesn’t show is how the companies that made the list navigated uncertainty. Ultimately, it was through adapting and creating opportunities, while realigning service offerings to accommodate customer needs.
Strategic Factory remained successful by being agile and adapting to customer needs, which evolved into a new PPE division. With shortages experienced nationwide, Strategic Factory was able to quickly become a trusted local-source provider of PPE. In doing so, Strategic Factory was able to provide this specialized protection to frontline workers when they needed it most. Today, Strategic Factory also serves as a reopening resource to ensure a successful reopening for many businesses.
Due to social distancing and necessary restrictions in place, Strategic Factory’s digital-based service lines have been a highly effective form of communication for customers. Additionally, companies looking to differentiate themselves have turned to robust, highly targeted, and customized direct mail campaigns. In an effort to offer best-in-class direct mail services, Strategic Factory invested in the AccurioJetKM1 from KONICA MINOLTA to create unparalleled direct mail solutions.
What happens as the pandemic winds down isn’t completely clear. However, one thing that is certain is that the new Printing Impressions 350 ranking is here to stay. Committed to growth in an effort to better serve customers and their needs, Strategic Factory looks forward to making the 2021 list.
