Strategic Factory Wins Big at the Excellence in Print Awards
The Printing & Graphics Association MidAtlantic (PGAMA) held its annual Excellence in Print awards ceremony online on December 9, 2020. PGAMA is a non-profit trade organization that supports a community of commercial printers, engravers, embossers, binders and finishers, designers, and others all located in Maryland, Northern Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Southern Pennsylvania. Hundreds of entries were received, and in the award’s 16th year, Strategic Factory won awards in six (6) different categories.
The Excellence in Print awards ceremony is PGAMA’s premiere event of the year and recognizes the extraordinary work completed by companies in the Mid-Atlantic region for printing and design. Winners are chosen based on qualities such as precision of color reproduction as well as the level of difficulty. Already a previous, multi-award winner, Strategic Factory won in the following categories:
- Special Awards–Best Use of Wide Format
- Best of Booklets: Small, up to 6×9 (digital)
- Best of Greeting Cards (digital)
- Best of Website Design
- Best of Wide Format – Signs
- Best of Wide Format – Wraps
“Our dedicated team is made up of the highest quality experts in their respective fields,” says Strategic Factory’s President & CEO, Keith Miller. “We’re truly grateful to them for their innovation and hard work–they are the reason this was possible.”
Impact of COVID
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the awards were held digitally, with nominees streaming in with their own watch parties. Winners in each category are automatically entered into the national print competition, Premier Print Awards. A gala to celebrate the winners is slated to be held in the spring of 2021.
Despite the recognition-at-a-distance, Strategic Factory team members were honored to receive awards in such competitive categories, and acknowledge customers as partial winners as well.
“What makes us so proud to earn these awards is that they can be directly attributed to our loyal customers,” explains Miller. “Without them, we wouldn’t have had the opportunity to create and produce these award-winning pieces.
