Moving? We Can Help!

November 15, 2018 / Graphic Design & Branding

Moving your business to a new location is an exciting endeavor, but all the packing, leases, rebranding, and notifying your customers can make it feel stressful. We understand. We lived through the experience in 2015 when we relocated our headquarters from Hunt Valley to Owings Mills.

To help streamline the process, we’ve come up with the ultimate moving checklist; you’ll need to update your printed material, digital/social media, and signage. Here’s what to do for each:

Printed Material
  • Send “We’re Moving!” postcards to all current customers, vendors, suppliers, etc.
  • Print new business cards.
  • Create new letterhead.
  • Change your business forms.
  • Change your brochures, sales folders, handouts, and any other marketing materials that may include your address.

Digital/Social Media

  • Update your address on all digital locations (Google, Yellow Pages, Yelp, FourSquare, etc.).
  • Update your address on all social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Tumblr, etc.).
  • Change the contact information on your company website.
  • Change the address in all email signatures.

  • Purchase exterior signage for your new location (monument signs, window graphics, feather flags, etc.).
  • If allowed, put up a “We’ve Moved” sign at your old location, at least until the old space is occupied.
  • Brand the interior of your building with internal signage (vinyl wall graphics, dimensional letters, wayfinding signage, etc.).

  • Host an Open House to show current customers your new space. Invite neighboring prospective clients, too!
  • Hand out promotional items with your new address (magnets, pens, notepads, etc.).

Let us help you with your move – our team can assist with everything on this list. Check off these items and breathe easy knowing that your past, current and future customers will be able to find you at your new location!
