Strategic Fest: An Epic Experience

Once a year we put on a show for our esteemed clients and prospects, and each year we attempt to improve upon the previous experience.

This one will be hard to top.

Strategic Fest lived up to the hype, as nearly 400 guests partied like Rock Stars at our facility on Thursday, September 20. The three-hour event featured live music, mouthwatering food and desserts, a variety of adult beverages, tons of free swag, an interactive tour, raffles, games and more!

A Red-Carpet Reception

As guests arrived they were shuttled via golf cart to the entrance of our building where they were greeted by Baltimore Ravens cheerleaders and Mascot Poe! Upon entering, guests picked up their custom name tags and posed for Rock Star photos (which were added to the cover of personalized notebooks for everyone in attendance).

Follow Along on Your Phone

After the photo shoot, the digital tour experience began! Guests toured our 40,000 square-foot facility, following along and answering trivia questions on their cell phones for a chance to win a brand-new 39-inch HDTV. This portion of the tour demonstrated our digital capabilities and added a mobile element to the event that hadn’t been seen before.

*Congrats to Susan Russell from Epic Pharmacies, Inc. She was one of 119 guests who completed the digital tour in its entirety and won the grand prize: a 39-inch HDTV!

How Many Boxes?

The tour continued through the facility, where guests chatted with subject matter experts before heading outside, where one of our installers was wrapping a vehicle for all to see the process firsthand. The vehicle also had several boxes packed in the back; guests were encouraged to guess how many boxes and enter on their phones for a chance to win a basket of cheer!

*Three cheers for Jessica Bentley from the Living Legacy Foundation! She guessed the EXACT number of boxes (128) and won the gift basket!

Welcome to the Festival

Once outside, the experience really came to life. The music and sweet smell of pit beef pulled guests toward our promo booths, where we passed out Strategic Fest T-shirts and drawstring backpacks filled with giveaways including a microfiber cloth, a color changing cup, repositionable stickers, lip balm and more! We handed out guest’s personalized notebooks as they were completed by our bindery team.

Meet the Experts

We had 19 booths set up and manned by subject matter experts (SMEs) to educate guests on our products and services and to answer any questions they had. Anything and everything you’d need to market your business was featured, from promotional products and branded apparel to paper stock and labels to signage and web. If it could benefit your brand, it was on hand.

Eat, Drink and Be Merry

After filling up on knowledge and marketing ideas, guests were drawn to our food and beverage tents for more. We had a variety of tasty treats to snack on, including Itaberco gelato and cookies from The Great CookieMeat Man Catering provided pit beef, ham and turkey as well as delicious sides. Soft drinks, water and beer were on ice, including an IPA from Full Tilt Brewing. Guests were treated to wines from Basignani Winery, and both McClintock Distilling and New Liberty Distillery offered free tastings of bourbon, whiskey, and other spirits.

Come Jam with Us

No event is complete without live music, and the Lonesome Ryder Band delivered with hit after hit for our raving fans! The band took the stage under an enormous tent where guests could sit, eat, drink and mingle. Between sets, Marketing Communications Manager Fawn O’Hara grabbed the mic and informed guests on contests throughout the night including our paper supplier’s gift card and Ravens ticket raffle!

*Congrats to Kelly Long from Sage Dining and Jenna Brown from Springtime Supplements; they each won a $50 VISA gift card!

*Melissa Halpern from Chizuk Amuno Congregation scored two tickets to see the Ravens battle the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, October 21!

Calling All Paparazzi

Pictures make the memories last, and we asked guests to share their experience on our social media pages using the hashtag #StrategicFest for a chance to win an Amazon gift card. Strategic Fest geofilters were also available on Snapchat throughout the evening for guests to enjoy. We had plenty of engagement throughout the evening, and a ton of pictures to prove the event was truly magical!

*Congrats to Christian Kendzierski from Notre Dame of Maryland University! He posted and tagged his way to a $25 Amazon gift card!

Together We Rock

Months of planning and anticipation culminated in an epic event that exceeded our lofty expectations. We’re thankful to be able to put on a show of this magnitude for our loyal customers and grateful for our dedicated and knowledgeable team members who ensured Strategic Fest was a massive hit. We’re already looking forward to next year (and we have a few new additions planned that will totally rock!).
